Directions to the A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery

From I-95 North:
Turn off at the Okeechobee Road exit.
At the light turn East on SR 70 (Okeechobee Road).
Go straight staying to the right. Stay on SR 70 until you reach U.S. #1.
Turn left (north) on U.S.#1.
Go through town. You will pass Orange Ave.(Ft. Pierce City Hall is on the corner of Orange Ave. and U.S. #1).
Continue 2 more blocks to A.E. Backus Ave. (also called Ave. C depending upon which sign you are reading.)
Turn right (east) go two blocks.
Turn left (north) at the second stop sign onto Indian River Drive.
Entrance to the museum is your very first right.

From Florida Turnpike:
Get off at Ft. Pierce exit.
At the light turn right (East) on SR 70 (Okeechobee Road).
