The Museum houses the nation's largest public presentation of artwork by Florida's pre-eminent painter, A.E. "Bean" Backus (1906-1990). It also is the home of the state's only permanent multi-media exhibition on the Florida Highwaymen, who are among the many artists and individuals that are a part of his legacy. The Museum additionally organizes and hosts changing exhibitions from artists of national and international acclaim.

    Discount Admission: $2 Off for AARP, AAA, Veterans with ID and those over 65. FREE: Current Members, Students with ID, Active Duty Military Personnel and Children under 18.

    Regular Season Schedule: Wednesdays - Saturdays 10am-4pm, Sundays 12-4pm Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, and Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's Day

    Shop this unique selection of items with something for everyone! The Museum offers giftware ranging from mugs to tiles, ornaments, books and canvas reproductions, all inspired by the work of A. E. Backus.
